阿班(杰西·布拉德福德饰)就要高中毕业了，他不用发愁自己的将来，因为施坦福大学早已看中了他这个游泳健将，给他提供了高额的入学奖学金，更令人羡慕的是：他的女朋友是著名的校花--艾米。一切都是那么完美直到漂亮女孩麦迪逊（艾丽卡·克里斯滕森饰）的出现。
麦迪逊刚从别的地方搬到了这个小镇，他一下就看上了阿班，面对她的热情，阿班似乎也有些动心，两人的关系于是变得有点不清不楚起来。然而，随着梅迪森对本的迷恋与日俱增，种种莫名其妙的麻烦也开始缠上了本：他因为服用禁药而被游泳队开除，女朋友艾米受到神秘恐吓而住进了医院，嫌疑最大的人竟是阿班……
焦头烂额的本开始怀疑这一切的幕后操纵人就是梅迪森，他开始调查这个女孩的来历，试图寻找解决的方法，却发现了一个惊人的秘密……
