胡卫明,男 ,1968年11月生,国家杰出青年基金获得者,中国科学院自动化研究所研究员,博士生导师。中国科学院大学岗位教授、视频内容安全研究团队负责人,国家杰出青年科学基金获得者(2008年)、中组部万人计划科技创新领军人才入选者(2016)、科技部中青年科技创新领军人才入选者(2013)、人社部百千万人才工程国家级人选者(2015)、国家有突出贡献中青年专家(2015)、享受国务院政府特殊津贴(2016)、国家863重点专项项目首席专家(2011)。
胡卫明,1998年1月在浙江大学计算机系获工学博士学位。1998年3月进入北京大学计算机科学技术研究所(即北大方正技术研究院)博士后流动站,从事博士后研究工作。2000年4月起在中国科学院自动化研究所模式识别国家重点实验室工作。曾多次到美国哥伦比亚大学和伊利诺伊斯大学厄巴那-香槟分校、英国雷丁大学和伦敦大学Birkbeck学院、法国波尔多第三大学以及澳大利亚Monash大学和卧龙岗大学做访问研究。

2004年以第二完成人获北京市科学技术奖(自然科学类)一等奖,2008年以第一完成人获北京市科学技术奖(基础研究类)二等奖。先后主持了国家自然科学基金、国家高技术研究发展计划、北京市自然科学基金等二十余项科研项目。已在《IEEE Trans. on PAMI》等国际刊物、《中国科学》等国内一级刊物以及ICCV、ECCV、CVPR等重要国际学术会议上发表论文100余篇,其中第一作者32篇。申请专利20余项。负责完成的敏感图像识别技术、兴奋剂宣传销售信息识别技术得到了实际应用,负责开发了网络多模态有害信息过滤系统。有7年作为软件工程师的软件系统开发经历,独立完成源代码20万行以上,开发了多套软件产品与实用系统在国内有关单位推广使用,其中完成的商业化软件产品—方正智绘地图晕渲系统广泛使用于测绘、地矿、农业、林业、出版等行业。
2021年11月3日,胡卫明主持的项目“视觉运动模式学习与理解的理论与方法”获2020年度国家自然科学奖二等奖。
