黄振英,1970年8 月出生于新疆维吾尔自治区乌鲁木齐市,1995年毕业于西北大学,1998年在以色列Ben-Gurion大学获联合培养博士学位,英国皇家学会高访学员,中国科学院植物研究所研究员,种子生态学家,博士生导师。已培养硕士和博士6名;正在指导博士后2名、博士生和硕士生4名。

种子生态学
1.1温带干旱生态系统的种群更新机制
以种群更新的种子休眠与萌发阶段为重点,以中国西北干旱区植物等为研究对象,利用实验生态学手段,阐明种子休眠与萌发在种群适应温带干旱生境中的生态学意义。
1.2种子性状的适应与进化
以温带荒漠植物种子性状(如种子粘液层、种子大小)为研究对象,利用实验生态学手段,结合植物生理学、形态学、分子生态学和植物地理学的手段,阐明种子粘液层在种群适应流动沙丘严醋生境中的适应意义及其进化趋势。
1.3干旱区植物的生活史对策
以种子异型性为研究案例,结合野外调查和控制实验方法,验证植物生活史的两头下注策略,阐明种子异型性在植物适应内陆盐漠中的生态学意义。
1.4沙地植物生活史对变化环境的响应
以流动沙丘的先锋植物为研究对象,结合实验生态学方法和模型模拟,研究植物生活史关键阶段对变化环境条件的响应,阐明变化环境对植物生活史的影响,预测气候变化背景下荒漠植物的种群动态。
沙地植被资源开发与生态治理
2.1沙地植被资源开发
收集与整理沙地植物种质资源,揭示沙地植被在沙地生态治理中的资源价值,研发沙地植物资源保育和合理开发利用的技术途径,沙区可持续发展的资源植物利用技术。
2.2沙地生态治理
采用综合性的生态恢复手段研究受损沙地生态系统恢复的有效途径,提出符合沙地生态系统特征的、具有经济效益的沙地植被重建技术,改善沙地生态环境质量。
