谭仁祥，男，1960年6月生，汉族，江苏盐城人，研究生，理学博士，教授，1988年4月加入中国共产党，1990年9月参加工作。著名天然产物学家。长期从事天然产物化学和药物方面的研究工作。
1979年09月进入中国药科大学学习，1986年09月获理学硕士学位，进入兰州大学化学系攻读博士学位，毕业后继续在该校从事博士后科研工作，1992年10月起在南京大学生物科学与技术系任教，1994年04月晋升为教授。曾任生物科学与技术系主任，南京大学校长助理、南京大学生物技术研究所所长。
2016年8月-2018年10月，任南京中医药大学党委常委、副校长。
2023年10月-中国植物学会副理事长、常务理事、理事。
2016年5月22日，拟任南京中医药大学副校长（试用期一年）、党委常委。
2016年8月，任命谭仁祥同志为南京中医药大学副校长，试用期一年。
2018年10月19日下午，我校在行政楼416会议室召开干部大会，宣布省委关于校领导班子调整的决定。免去谭仁祥同志南京中医药大学党委常委、委员职务；免去谭仁祥同志副校长职务。
自攻读硕士学位以来，一直从事有机化学及天然药物化学方面的教学与科研工作,先后研究了藜芦、川木香、紫菀、十余种蒿属植物及三种龙胆属植物中的结构新颖、活性显著的化合物。共分离鉴定了1100多种天然有机化合物，其中有300余种为首次测定结构的新化合物，12种具有新的骨架。迄今已发表论文190篇，其中174篇发表在“SCI索引源”刊物上，完成国家及省部级科研项目共37项。
曾获教育部科技进步一等奖2次，二等奖和三等奖各1次；“南京大学科技奖”政府特贴专家，国家“百千万”人才计划（1997年度，第一、第二层次）入选者；20多家学术刊物副主编或编委，教育部第四、五届科学技术委员会生命科学学部学部委员，多次担任国家自然科学基金委员会评委及多家全国性专业委员会主任、副主任或委员。
2015年7月31日，入选中国科学院院士增选初步候选人名单。
